The Daulton Collection
It has been said that this painting may be a portrait of "Saint Catherine [sic] of Hungary," probably referring to Saint Elizabeth of Hungary (1207-1231) or perhaps to Princess Catherine of Hungary (1370-1378), who was not a saint; another possibility is Saint Margaret of Hungary (1242-1270).
